This week we’re bringing “How the Grog Turned Deadly” back to where Happy Tunes began — onto the stages of Final Fantasy XIV! 🏴☠️🎻
Originally created by us as a rowdy pirate-metal drinking song, the story follows a crew whose voyage goes wrong in almost every possible way after getting their hands on one particularly suspicious barrel of grog.
There are bad decisions.There is drinking.There is probably a kraken somewhere. 🐙
And by the end of it all, nobody can quite answer the most important question:
But how the grog turned deadly — we still don’t know! ☠️🍺
For this version, we transformed our original song into an FFXIV Bard Band arrangement, bringing the tavern chaos back into Eorzea with our Lalafell crew! 🎻🏴☠️
And there’s a very good reason we’re returning to this song right now…
